Position 1: Garden Program Co-ordinator
June 4 – August 3
30 hours/wk
$16.00/hr
Responsibilities: Develop and deliver garden-based programs to children and people of all ages
Outreach to community members, children’s camps and partners to attend summer garden programs
Track, evaluate and document the programs, including bringing new ideas for activities and games
Support and supervise Garden Program Workers
Maintain gardens and support Green Thumbs programs and services, including administrative and office-based tasks
Document and promote the programs on social media
Qualifications: Experience in gardening, outdoor work, children’s programs, leadership positions
Assets: Team builder, peer mentor, bicycle
Position 2: Garden Program Worker
June 18 – August 24
30 hours/wk
$14.00/hr
Responsibilities: Develop and deliver garden-based programs to children and people of all ages
Outreach to community members, children’s camps and partners to attend summer garden programs
Maintain gardens and support Green Thumbs programs and services, including administrative and office-based tasks
Document and promote the programs on social media
Qualifications: Interest and enthusiasm for gardening, children’s programs and outdoor work
Assets: Team player, bicycle
There may be opportunities to sell produce at farmers markets and help with service contracts in gardens/streetscapes. Experience in these work spaces will be an asset.
