Garden Party Update: More silent auction items donated!

Thanks to our generous supporters we have a few more items donated for the silent auction this Sunday:

The Fun Guy Farm’s Oyster Mushroom Kit

We are so excited for this event this weekend. You can still buy tickets online , or just e-mail us at info(AT)kidsgrowing.ca, and simply reserve tickets at the door.

And for sale at the event, as well as for you to sample, are Guille’s alfajores: they are a Latin American specialty (look them up!) and they will be topped with candied flowers prepared by Sunday Harrison. Guille is a fantastic volunteer at Green Thumbs who did school food gardening in Mexico for a good number of years. Currently she is helping out with our after-school program at Riverdale Farm. Her tasty creations come from her small business “Smiles in a Box”.

Can’t wait to taste Chef Anne Sorrenti (and GTGK board member)’s inspired spring menu.
